My three kids and I (15, 14 and 12) went on a 2 hour trail ride with Devan and Gracie while on vacation in Glacier this week.

When we pulled up, the weather started to go downhill a bit and it started to rain. I told Devan we still wanted to go if she was up for it and I’m so glad that her and Gracie were! We all got rained on here and there throughout the ride but it was sooo worth it! Neither myself or my kids have ever ridden horses before so I should’ve been nervous but I’m glad I wasn’t.

The horses were very calm and sweet and did a wonderful job with us newbies- even while getting drenched on during the ride. Of course our guides were very knowledgeable with the horses and helped teach us what we needed to do if the horses started having bad manners.

The trail that Devan took us on was absolutely beautiful and so quiet (besides the rain coming down 🤪). The Mystic Forest, although short, was really cool! Devan and Gracie talked with us about the area we were riding through and wildlife they’ve seen along the trail. They also talked a little bit about their heritage as Blackfoot Indians. It was all so interesting to learn about. We really enjoyed our time with them- wish we got a picture of all of us together but forgot!

My three kids and I (15, 14 and 12) went on a 2 hour trail ride with We did the 2-hour ride with our kids. Slightly torn between 4 and 5 stars. Ultimately this was one of the best horseback rides my family has ever done! Run by a very sweet and experienced family. That said, this place is less professional than any others but that is not necessarily a bad thing. If this is your first ride you should tell them so that they don't run the horses, lol. On the other hand, if you are interested in a more natural ride where you aren't "nose to tail" and want to gallop, this is your place! A few more Pros: Excellent views, horses were great, VERY nice staff! Cons: Communications a little casual, everything done by text, no official communications unless I reached out which made me wary if this was actually going to happen. Horses escaped before our ride so got delayed about 35 minutes. We galloped and trotted which was fun but unexpected (that would be scary for your first time). Guide carried a gun out in the open which was new to me. Beautiful location and near Two Medicine which is a great place to dip in the lake after a ride!

We had Gracie and Davin Angel. They were amazing. The horses were super sweet and super great. They help me get on the Horse and They were great guides pointing out like bear marks. they took picture at the top for us . It was amazing!!!!!

My group of 5 had the BEST TIME on this afternoon horseback tour!!! Devon and Gracie were our guides, and everyone there was amazing. We were greeted by the cutest dogs at the entrance. The tour was so much fun and we saw some of the best views in the world. I cannot recommend this company enough! Must-do in East Glacier

Angel and Dallon were our trail bosses. They were extremely competent. They were observant of wildlife sign and rerouted our trail ride as needed. The mountain scenery and remote lake views were stunning. The horses were well behaved. I highly recommend this family business. A side benefit, they allow riders up to 300 lbs.

An unbelievably excellent trail ride. We did the 4hr trip with Al Boy. He selected trails that matched our ability, and the horses were well-behaved and energetic.  And what a ride - forest, meadows, beaver ponds, up to the top of windy ridges with beautiful mountain views. We saw 2 other people the entire ride. This was a true Montana experience. Absolutely the best trail ride of our life.

My spouse and I made our first trip to Glacier National Park in Montana taking the train from Saint Paul, Minnesota, to East Glacier. A highlight of our trip was our four-hour trail ride with Al at Sacred Trails. He picked us up at the Glacier Park Lodge where we were staying and was most accommodating of all of our questions before we saddled up. We were joined by a couple from the U.K. and together had a splendid afternoon for riding. Glad we took advantage of this opportunity when in Montana.

He is very knowledgeable about the area and was interesting to learn from as we rode the trails he knows like the back of his hand. The prices are so very reasonable for the value of the tour. My daughter and I did a 2 hr ride with Al boy. What an incredible experience. The trail we rode was not only beautiful but we also saw no one else the entire time. Wildflowers, beautiful open meadows and what views of the mountains. I can't express enough how perfect this ride was. Made me feel like I was wandering the open plain and and mountains trails a 150 years ago. Thank you Al boy  for making it a great experience for my daughter and myself.

This was the absolute highlight of my week-long trip to Glacier.  At 69, I wasn't going to make a trip to Montana without riding a horse ; and this trail ride with Mr. Boy was the best experience I could have hoped for.  I had a private 4-hour ride on old buffalo trails through woods and up rocky hills and across green pastures.  Mr. Boy was so considerate.  He helped me with mounting and dismounting (I'm short), and alerted me to every little thing that was coming up, breaking limbs off ahead of me so I wouldn't get scraped.  While we took a break at the top, we both agreed that when the day comes that we can't get on a horse, we're "done."  This is not your typical horseback ride through the park.  It was an awesome experience, and I hope to do it again one day.  Thank you, Al Boy and Sacred Trails.

If you are looking for a different way to see the beautiful views Montana has to offer, Sacred Trails is the way to go! The guide was wonderful and the horses were so excellent and well trained, even as beginner riders. I cannot recommend this trail ride enough.

What an incredibly gorgeous way to experience the Glacier park area (on a hot day!) This 2-hour guided tour was the highlight of our time at Glacier Park Lodge, with unique views and wonderful trail horses. Devin was an amazing guide and horse-woman, and the whole family worked as a great team (picking us up and dropping off at the lodge, and being accommodating with last minute arrangements). I only had time for the two hour ride, but every moment of it was special! My wife found this excellent place with a scenic trail, very well disciplined horses and masterful trainers. Al Boy was my guide, and he was just spectacular with his tips and conversations and jokes on the ride too.

I couldn't imagine going to ride horses anywhere else, you will not be disappointed with this location and staff!

Al Boy was a great guide today!! Relaxing, secluded, remote... he even took us on some off-road trails for incredible views. Al is definitely an old school Montana folk who loves what he does. He was so kind to celebrate our engagement with us after the ride, offering a cold Bud Light!!
